Netball Calendar
Natalie Laine who recently lost her husband Mark to MND has produced a calendar with her netball team in memory of him. The launch took place at The Treasury, Royal Parade, Plymouth on 25th September where Natalie and the girls raised an astounding £5000 through ticket and raffle sales, they have also managed to sell £3000 pounds worth of calendars to date which is to say a quite incredible achievement. Calendars are still available and if anyone would like one, please contact either Dawn or Graham at the emails given under Contacts. As you can imagine being a netball team the photo’s of the girls are shall we say, tastefully posed. Our thanks go's to all concerned for the help and support given to the girls.
In addition to Natalie and the girls, further monies where raised by a group Walking to Defeat in Marks name. Chris Tremaine’s wife Rosemary, who is a Marie Curie nurse saw our news letter when she was nursing Mark. Chris put together a 6 mile sponsored circular walk. Starting from Noss Mayo around to Stoke Beach along the coast. Not knowing at the time of planning that Stoke Beach was Mark’s favourite spot. Chris said “it turned out to be a good walk and the weather was kind to us with only a short light shower. In total we raised £242 through sponsorship and donations”. Well done Chris and thank you and all the others for your efforts
