The Thumbs Up sign represents David Niven’s last defiant gesture.
It still remains a symbol of hope.

Motor Neurone Disease Association Registered Charity Number: 29435
We believe that through our Association and local contacts we can give knowledgeable, caring and enthusiastic support to families and carers  living with Motor Neurone Disease.

We seek to raise local awareness of Motor Neurone Disease and the worldwide research that is ongoing in looking for a cure to overcome this disease.

Additionally, we aim to provide links to other local and national organisations to promote understanding within the local health and support services for the Motor Neurone Disease Association..

We anticipate holding several social events for families and carers of people living with MND. Through these events, they will be given an opportunity to meet people who know about the implications of MND and have experience in dealing with many of its day to day problems as they arise.

The National Office website will provide up to date information about the disease, care and research as well as the work of the Association.

About Us
Fund Raising - Sadly our Chief Fundraiser Gail has had to stand down due to personal commitments. Gail did an amazing job and her untiring dedication to ‘helping the cause’ should be a lesson to us all, we wish her well. The group are now desperate for some one to take on this role, if you can help, please contact either Dawn or Graham.
Treasurer - After many years as Treasurer Sue Richards has stood down. The group would like to thank Sue for her hard work and dedication to duty over the years and wish her well in the years to come. I have now taken over the position having been treasurer of several organisations in the past and I hope to serve the group as well as Sue has.
